Meal
In the early 1990s, most Germans ate three meals a day, usually between 6 a.m. and 8 a.m. in the morning, between 12 p.m. and 2 p.m. and 6 p.m. and 8 p.m. in the evening. On weekends, breakfast and dinner times often vary, while the time for lunch remains the same. On average, 80 minutes were spent eating every day. There is a tendency among working people to eat their main warm meal in the evening. Even if you are on holiday on foot or in a vehicle, the warm main meal is often postponed until the evening. In Sweden, the shift of the main meal to the evening has led to dinner now being referred to as middag.
